60 DAYS TO GET ADVENTURE READY

The Mission: Getting back to 220 by March 8

The Goal: Bio Bay Kayaking

Because of WorkAtHome and studying I have gained 25 pounds. Right now I'm dangerously reaching 250 and that has to be halted. I have not been able to exercise because of eye surgeries, had my last one in December 3... And there's nothing else to do but covering the eye to read and getting pretty sick patches to match my mood.

Stressed? hell yeah. I am uncertain about my job and uncertain about finding a site for my counseling degree... So I need to feel that i can control something... So I will start with the weight. I have always been fat, and if I ever reach 200 pounds I would be in 7th Heaven. My best body look was when I reached 185 in 2000. I've never been lower and that lasted while I was in TaeKwanDo and lighting weights.

Anyway, I'm turning 50 in April thsi year, and I want to celebrate doing some thing I always wanted to do. I have never gone to Vieques to see the Bio Bay, so that is one of the gifts this year: BioBay by transparent kayak. I dont know how to swim, so I know Im going to be frozen while doing it, but it may be the last time I can actually see this world wonder because I am loosing mysight. I want to have clear amazing images in my head, just like the images I keep from the Camuy caves.

Airwalking started yesterday. This is Day 2. I'm exhausted. Yesterday was a drag watching a Hawaii video with sounds of breeze and sea... Nope. Today chose one video with techno music... That's it for me. So, gotta try finding techno tunes for exercising that I like, and creating a few 30 minutes lists in Spotify to keep on the motivation. I wont be able to write everyday, but I will try a weekly update on Thursdays at night.

AIRWALKING

It's time. It has begun! Started air walking Nov 13. It's been on and off since it has bothered a bit, but I'm getting there... Started with 20 minutes, by now I can go up to 45 minutes of Buffy: Vampire Slayer. Yup, that's my new series for exercizing. Will go through Buffy, Angel, Charmed and Battlestart Galactica. 90s goals. Gotta nail the 45 minutes of air-walking without flinching...

Trying to see how to add BodyFx to the routine. I will begin that on Dec 01.

Rowing will begin on January 01. I dare not do that right now.

FAST & FURIOUS

So... Back home. On 9/11 had the hysterectomy and fibroid operation.
The fibroid was big, hugging & choking the uterus.
So, alien out, uterus out, ovaries stay so I wont have hormonal distress.

In a wink I was in a room, hubby was there...

The night went by.
Second day went by.
Third day morning cleared to go home.

So, Sunday afternoon back home. Meds every 6 hrs, keeping me drowsy and pain contained. Wearing a mighty girdle that keeps all in. Insition covered by med and "surgical ducktape".

Will see doc next week so she will take out the duckdatape and check the scar. I may be able to return to work by end of month, much faster than I expected... We will see. Outside may seem healed but everyone warns me about inside taking longer. We'll see...

Keeping this short. Getting dizzy, so back to bed.

Woohoo, or something.

TEMPORARY HALT

My right leg has been continuously swollen the past week, and my hysterectomy/ removal of uterus and large fibroid is coming up on Friday September 11th.

It makes me angry that after so much progress straightening up my sugar and two months of concise exercising this will have to halt. The operation is basically a C-section, so... it will require 2 months of nothing strong. I hope to start air walking on week 4. But rowing will have to wait beyond that, I'll have to ask the doctor when it will be prudent for that.

I am very anxious and scared. I have never felt like this... not even with the pregnancies and past C-sections. I know the experience at the NJ hospital had much to do with it... And how bad it all had been for my mother also accounts for fear (she had something similar, but she also had cancer...).

So far I have no cancer, the fibroid is just a big head that is leeching away and removing the uterus will prevent regrowth... thus, the alien chronicles should be over... They aim at keeping the ovaries so I wont need pills, but it all depends on what they find when opening me.

My concern is how long it will take to move... And if it will really help aleviate my right leg/foot problem. It seems the fibroid has been pinching a nerve, I think it's affecting the sciatica and that's why the right leg is effed-up. The top of my foot is always swollen and in pain. We will cross that river when we get there...

THE PLAN

SEP: Alien OUT

SEP-OCT: Studying and scrapbooking for 6 weeks

OCT: Start over walking the walk

NOV: Start BodyFX

JAN: Start rowing

I'LL BE BACK!

ROUGH DAYS

Been sad, melancholy because of Deedee's 13th birthday... My right leg and foot are not cooperative either...

Foot affecting my performance. Knee swelling as well. Using Epsom salt and foot bath and Bengay. The struggle is real.

AND THIS IS EXACYLY HOW I FEEL
